The two-year master program Space Applications is a common educational activity of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication (FEKT) and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FSI) of Brno University of Technology. The program is contributed by local companies active in space activities and the South-Moravia Innovation Centre. During their studies, students will be in touch with European Space Agency, German Aerospace Centre and other important bodies of the space research and development.
The program provides an insight into mechanical and electrical aspects of satellite control and management, design of nano-satellites, vacuum technology, reliability and maintenance. Moreover, students can become familiar with selected topics from signals, astrophysics, electromagnetic compatibility and radiation, microwave technologies, microcontrollers and advanced multi-physical modelling.
Students interested in Space Applications should have an electrical or mechanical engineering background. Knowledge of applicants is tested by a written exam and an oral interview.
